Infrastructure

Dissection Hall     

The Dissection hall has 28  tables , 4 body storage tanks and cooling chambers for 8 bodies , with proper exhaust system with one embalming room equipped with one embalming machine. The dissection hall is well equipped with air conditioning , proper water supply , sinks and electric points.

The department maintains dignity of the donated bodies as per UP Anatomy Act.

Museum

Large museum, with 290 wet and 154 dry specimens and five original human skeleton, foetal specimens and skeleton and abundant disarticulated bone sets and abundant catalogues.

The museum has embryology & neuroanatomy models as well.

 

Histology Lab

The lab has capacity of 60 students , equipped with more than 100 microscope , LCD

Dissection microscopes & 3000 slides and abundant reagents

 

Morphometry Lab (Anthropometry Lab)

All instruments required for Practicals as per NMC

Lecture Hall

Air conditioned lecture hall , with LCD projector and audio system

Cadaveric Lab

Well equipped air conditioned Cadaveric lab for anatomy education, for developing practical and surgical skill , research & clinical training and making it a corner stone of medical education.

Research Lab

With equipments  for cytogenetic research.

Seminar Room

The Seminar room has a variety of books on the subject of Anatomy

Achievements of Department of Anatomy in Last three years:

  1. Conducted Dissection competition
  2. Conducted CME with 3 credit hours on topic Unlocking the brain and spinal cord: Understanding neuroanatomy with clinical cases and neuroimaging techniques (MRI)
  3. Conducted model making competition and rangoli making competition in 2025 and conducted rangoli making and body painting completion in 2026 (Rangatomy 2.0)
  4. The department has conducted co curricular activities like Fresher party for the previous three years.
  5. Participated in College exhibition , displayed Anatomy models and specimens for medical & educational awareness.
  6. Conducted awareness programme for body donation.
